Can I just say, I LOVE a spring cookie? Full of chocolate with pops of pastel color, these soft and chewy Chocolate M&M Cookies are perfect for your spring baking list! And with no chilling time required, they’re quick and easy to make.

Chocolate M&M Cookie with Bite

I am a sucker for an M&M cookie.

M&M cookies unseat Chocolate Chip as Cookie Supreme in my book. (GASP)

Don’t get me wrong, I’m nearly an equal opportunist when it comes to cookies…nearly.

But something about that candy shell adding a little texture…

The M&M seems larger than a chocolate chip, it feels like there’s more chocolate…

And they’re just so colorful…what’s not to like?

So, I took all of that…and added more chocolate with a heaping dose of cocoa powder.

Seriously, these ended up like “brownie cookies”. (Per my mom, so ya know, it’s official).

Dry Ingredients
Creamed butter and sugars
Cookie dough with M&Ms

Key Ingredients

  • Cocoa Powder – Be sure to use baking cocoa, not hot cocoa for these cookies.
  • Sugar – The blend of white and brown sugar brings a nice balance of sweetness to this recipe. The brown sugar adds some chew and makes the cookies nice and (brace yourself) moist.
  • M&M’s – While this recipe calls for plain M&M’s, the smaller mini-M&M’s would be nice here as well! (I’ve never tested this recipe with a filled M&M, but now I know I need to, STAT…)

The Process

Chocolate M&M Cookies are incredibly straightforward:

Cream the sugar and wet ingredients together…

Whisk the dry ingredients together…

Mix dry and wet ingredients…

Add candy pieces…

Roll, place, bake!
