HOW IT ALL STARTED
I’ve always been a baker.
What started with chocolate chip cookies when I could barely reach the counter, has turned into a (mostly healthy) obsession for flipping through food magazines, playing around with flavors, cursing paper sugar bags (seriously though) and never managing to avoid a light dusting of flour on my clothes. Like any true millennial, I started posting photos of my bakes for friends and family. Eventually, I decided to level up – I asked for a “fancy camera” for my birthday and couldn’t wait to take it out of the box. After some fantastic food photography courses, a couple books, and one-too-many shopping trips for backgrounds and props, I knew “what I wanted to be when I grew up”.
I’m local to the North Texas area where I live with my husband and our feline overlords…I mean, loveable cats. My favorite food is bread, I’ve rarely met a chocolate dessert I didn’t like, I love baseball and my blood type is coffee. Hot coffee. The stronger, the better.
What kind of name is Gonna Need A Bigger Kitchen?
I don’t have a lot of real estate in my kitchen and if I had a dollar for every time I muttered “someday I have GOTTA get a bigger kitchen,” I would already have a down payment for one…
